Shop Display Design
Tip #1
Catch the EYE !
Keep it simple
Say it clearly
You are competing for attention
It’s really crowded out there
How is your shop display going to stand out ?
Visually and text wise
a
shop display
Needs to convey the message
in milliseconds,
In that instant the customer needs to be able to
decide
am I interested in this ?
Does it concern me ?
Do I want this ?
If they have to think about it ,
you lost them !
It’s a fleeting moment.
you need to choose out of all your
Text or graphics
Which one will take centre stage !?
Which one will carry the display ?
Segment all your material
Be it text, graphics or products,
In 4 layers
Layer 1 must
Catch the EYE
Keep it simple
Say it clearly
Layer 2 provides
Brief info
If the customer is interested
Then they will move to layer 3
Which provides them with further detail
and
allows them to make a final decision
Layer 4 is left for the
fine details,
Company details,
etc
You can apply this template
pretty much to anything
you can think of,
Be it
shop displays,
Brochure writing,
Mail out,
Newsletter,
Trade Fair display,
Adjust the concept to the task
and
you’re half way through !
If you look at the layout
Of this article
You should be able to scan
The 3 most important elements
In one quick browse.
